Best Things to Do in Singapore in 2026: Tickets, Tours & Night Safari

Singapore packs serious food, wildlife, theme parks and futuristic gardens into a small, easy city. Use this 2026 guide for the best tickets and tours.

1. Gardens by the Bay - Cloud Forest & Supertree Grove

The Supertrees are Singapore's most recognisable landmark and significantly more impressive in person than any photo. The Cloud Forest dome, with a 35-metre indoor waterfall inside a climate-controlled mountain of tropical vegetation, is unmissable. Book in advance because the domes sell out on weekends. Best time: arrive at the Cloud Forest at 9am to beat heat and crowds. The Supertree Grove at night after the 7:45pm OCBC Garden Rhapsody light show is spectacular and free.

2. Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore has 28 rides across 7 themed zones on Sentosa Island, including Battlestar Galactica duelling roller coasters and the Transformers ride. Duration: full day. From: $72 per adult. Tip: weekday mornings have the shortest queues, so arrive at opening and head straight to the most popular rides.

3. Singapore Night Safari

The world's first nocturnal wildlife park has 900 animals across 40 species explored by tram and on foot through a jungle environment. The Creatures of the Night show runs at 7:30pm and 8:30pm. Duration: 2-3 hours. Tip: arrive 30 minutes before the show you want to catch. The tram tour runs after and is worth doing.

4. Hawker Centre Food Tour

Singapore's hawker centres are UNESCO-listed. Maxwell Food Centre, Old Airport Road Food Centre, and Lau Pa Sat are the three most essential. Eat chicken rice, char kway teow, laksa, chilli crab, and kaya toast with soft-boiled eggs. A full hawker meal rarely exceeds $10-15 SGD. Best time: 12-1pm for lunch or 6-8pm for dinner.

5. Sentosa Island Day Trip

Sentosa is home to Universal Studios, four beaches, the S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, and Resorts World. Allow a full day if you are doing Universal Studios, or half a day for beaches and Fort Siloso.

When Is the Best Time to Visit Singapore?

Singapore is warm year-round, usually around 28-32C. February to April is the driest period. Rain comes in short heavy bursts year-round and rarely disrupts a full day.
